August 22, 2008 was a VERY MEMORABLE DAY for me, because aside from 3 of my friends are celebrating their birthday, it was the day of the pageant. The event that I wasn't waiting. The thought of it gives me creeps. At the very start I was very vocal about it, I DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE. But I have no choice, I still participated and something very bad and nice happened.
Before the pageant, when me and my blockmates are hanging out in our classroom, 321, Marco arrived. He talked to Eyddie outside the room and Eyddie went in again and she was crying. We were surprised why she is crying then she told us, Marco has Cancer. Leukemia. Stage 1. The news was a real shocker. The people inside the room were speechless. We never expected that someone like Marco will have a Cancer. I felt bad. I actually don't know if I should cry or just forget what Eyddie said. But reality bites. I just can't forget what Eyddie said. I have to accept and pray that Marco will be okay. I'll pray to GOD that he will be okay.
Then there was the pageant. The most horrible event of my life that day. I went to the venue with Twin and Gemma. While Angela went home because she forgot to bring her attire because of me. Hehe:) I asked them to accompany me because I was shy. The feeling of being there was really terrifying for me. It was held in AMV hall, 4th floor. It was actually the main event of EES General Assembly. It started late. It was kind of boring at first but later on I had fun. It was my first time to attend the general assembly. Anyway, the pageant started with the modeling then the question and answer. I believe that I had the BEST ANSWER and so does my blockmates. Then the talent portion. I did taekwondo and it was the MOST HORRIBLE PART for me. I think I looked stupid. Haha:)) But I thank Denise for agreeing to be a part of my talent portion. My blockmates told me that I was so contradicting because my real outfit for the pageant was so girly-girl then my talent was kind of boyish. Well, that's me.:D Then we had dinner. I didn't like the food that much. To make the story short, I lose. Ate Reda won the contest. A fourth year PSED student. She was crowned Ms. EES. I don't have any objections. What matters to me is that I did my best and my blockmates liked my performance. For me and for them, I am still the winner. There were no runner-ups. Only Mr. and Ms. EES. Then there were special awards. Angela won the Fashion Icon of the Night. Congrats Angela!!:) The best part of the whole event was when I felt the support and love of my blockmates. I never expected there support. So I really THANK THEM. I NEVER thought that I could get thru. That I am capable of performing in front of a big crowd. And of course, it was even more special because I felt that for once I belonged to 3SPED1. That I was a part of the family. I love the times when we were taking pictures anywhere. When Liei was standing on a chair and she was dancing then taking our pictures. I felt like we were bonded. Laughing and commenting on the performance of the other contestants. It was an event WORTH REMEMBERING. I am pleased with myself that I TRIED and that I DID MY BEST.:D
Again, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU BLOCKMATES for the SUPPORT. I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. I AM PROUD TO BE A PART OF 3SPED1.:D

Overload.
Now that finals are officially starting, I have so many things to accomplish. Paperworks. Reports. Video. Damn!! I can't count how many pending stuffs I have to finish. All I know is that I have to meet all the deadlines or else I'm dead. I'm actually tired. I don't know where to start because obviously before I could make a paperwork and a report, I have to read so many books to check the contents that must be placed on my report (and I'm not sure if I may be able to finish everything on time). Some of the things I have to read are so TECHNICAL that I can't comprehend what the authors are saying. Maybe because I'm from the College of Education then I'm reading a book for students who are in the medical field. So how can I be able to understand that!? Then I have to make a book review. As well as study all my courses especially my majors. :'(
Anyway, I feel like I'm having a bad week just because of one thing: THE EES PAGEANT, that will be held on August 22, 2008. I honestly don't want to participate to that contest. First, because it was just a joke when I attended the pre-pageant. I was actually forced to attend for the sake of the class that was really against my will. Second, I don't have any talent. I don't want to be a laughing stock in front of the EES Society. I've never been in a pageant. This is my first time and I don't want it. Third, it consumes time. I just want to be a part of the audience. I' don't like being in front of a crowd though I don't have any stage fright. I just don't like it. Fourth, I'm NOT beautiful. I don't think I am the right one to be placed in that situation. Fifth, I DON'T WANT IT.
On the lighter note, we lose again to FEU and because of that we aren't qualified to be part of the final four in UAAP. Too bad for the Tigers. But in any rate, it is just a basketball game. We can try again next year. Now, I'm TOTALLY cheering for the Blue Eagles to win the championship this season '71. I really hope they win. GO CHRIS!!:D ANIMO ATENEO. ONE BIG FIGHT!!
This Friday, August 22, 2008, three of my friends are celebrating their birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUYS!! Hope you'll have many birthdays to come. God bless!! But don't forget my blowout!! Hehe:) Looking forward to it. Haha:))

Finally, prelim is over!!
Back again. Just today, my prelims has officially ended. At last!! Frankly speaking, this is the most difficult prelims I ever encountered. Aside from having an illness during prelims which hindered me from focusing on my studies, almost all of my professors gave difficult exams. It was a total brain bleed. Every after my exam, my head aches especially after taking my World History, RC, SPED 10, and SPED 13 Because there are so many facts to be memorized (though rote learning is not advisable). But what can I do if my teachers kept on giving items that needs rote memory!? It was even more difficult because I'm not feeling good yet I have to push myself to attend classes because I don't want to prolong my agony. And what hurts more is the schedule not being distributed properly. We had days where we only have 1 exam then days when we have 3. How I wish the courses will be equally distributed so that we will not be so stressed with work. No information overload. And I hope one of my teachers will be open-minded. Haha:)) Just wanna share my view regarding our exams.
MONDAY
Educ 226 - Mixture of Subjective and Objective Type. Moderate.
World History - Objective. Difficult.
TUESDAY
Educ 206 B - Subjective. Easy.
SPED 10 - Mixture of Subjective and Objective Type. VERY DIFFICULT.
SPED 11 - Objective. Moderate.
WEDNESDAY
Educ 214 - Objective. Easy. (Love this one!!)
THURSDAY
RC - Subjective. Difficult. (Confusing!!)
Literature - Mixture of Subjective and Objective Type. Moderate.
SPED 13 - Mixture of Subjective and Objective Type. VERY DIFFICULT.
FRIDAY
NO EXAMS!! :D
SATURDAY
SPED 12 - Mixture of Subjective and Objective Type. Difficult.
Anyway, I'm just thankful and happy that prelims is over and that I have two days to rest. Though I have to teach my sister Algebra. Haha:)) Practice teaching. I just hope that all the results of my exams will be good. Please LORD. No failing grade. I can't afford one. Another thing, I PROMISE MYSELF THAT I'LL STUDY HARD THIS FINALS.:)
Once again, we lose to ADMU. Better luck next time. Hope to win the next game against... I dunno. Haha:)) Congrats to Chris and to the rest of the team.:)

Stressful Week and Upcoming Prelims
This week has been a really stressful week for me. Starting from going home late because I have to wait for my sister's dismissal that is around 4-5pm (My gawd!! Never thought I could wait that long. Thinking that my class ends at 1pm). Then having A LOT of assignments and thinking of the responsibilities I have at home. Eventhough, I'm organizing my schedule at my very best, staying at the library for almost 3-4 hours, I still had a hard time doing things. I haven't had a complete rest and sleep. I feel like I'm about to pass out because of too much work. On the other hand, I feel fulfilled coz I got to accomplish the things I have to accomplish. Thank GOD!! HE always gives me strength to continue!!
This upcoming week, I'll be having my prelims and what do I expect? I will have again a stressful week and brain bleeding days. Especially this Tuesday because I'll have 3 exams in just a day. Plus, 2 of them are my major courses. A total brain bleed. Too many things to study!! But having Friday as a break is a good news. Haha:)) I actually want to skip this week because I want to have a COMPLETE REST and SLEEP but I can't. I just wish I'll have a free time after prelims. PLEASE give me time to rest. STOP first the assignments. I want to unwind and relax.
Anyway, eventhough it was a stressful week and I'll be having again a stressful week, I'm still HAPPY. Never been better actually. Thanks to GOD and to the people who LOVES ME. They are the wind beneath my wings. LOVE them MUCH!!
Good news for UST, we won against AdU, 93-86. Nice game UST!! VIVA SANTO TOMAS!! Hope you'll win the upcoming games!! Godbless and Take Care!!:)

UST vs ADMU
Yesterday, I watched our game, UST vs ADMU. It was my first time to watch a live game for this UAAP Season '71. Held in Araneta Colisseum. 4-6pm. It was the main event for that day. Before our game, it was NU vs FEU and NU won. It was raining hard outside but it didn't stop the supporters of each university to watch the awaited game. Too bad we lose to Ateneo. I'm a big fan of Ateneo. I can't stop myself from cheering for them, especially Chris Tiu. Even if I'm with the UST crowd. But of course my loyalty lies in UST. I'm a PROUD THOMASIAN. VIVA SANTO TOMAS!! It was a nice game but I still prefer the game when we played with DLSU. It was a close fight and our players were complete (from what I remember!!). Japs Cuan was present unlike yesterday. And they really made a good fight back then. Shooting 3 points from now and then and getting rebounds. Sad to say, Jervy Cruz is still suffering from injury (I think!?). Because his score didn't reach a two digit number and he didn't take many rebounds unlike with his usual performance. Then Khasim Mirza together with Dylan Ababou earned 4 fouls. Thank God they weren't fouled out coz they were really needed by the team. But I can proudly say that they made a good defense that made the game a close fight. I know that UST can and is able to give a good fight to be able to bring back the glory days we had in Season '69 of UAAP.
I congratulate Ateneo for winning the last game for round 1. I hope to watch the second game especially if it would be an exciting game for both universities. By the way, it was a good performance by Jai Reyes. With his two 3 point shots it was the turning point for Ateneo. And of course by the Salinggawi Dance Troupe. Their performance has always been a superb.
ANIMO ATENEO!!
